As the adversity of the Covid-19 pandemic is stabilizing and people are getting back to their work life like before , the balance which was maintained before is now missing. People are struggling between their home and office life . As, for most of the people ,staying at home and working for the office is a real tough job to maintain.

Staying at home and trying to be productive , caring for the family and friends ,doing best to keep oneself safe and healthy are some of the challenges people are facing.

As you are on the verge to get back to the pre- pandemic life , what you should do is list up plans for what to do as you can otherwise feel overwhelmed for where to start.

According to Dwight Eisenhower ,former president of US and WW2 General ,at the time of crisis ,one should focus on two criteria for a work to be done. They are – importance and urgency.

Note down your works in the form of a to-do list with the works which have more importance at first followed by the works which have less importance .

Here are few steps which you can follow –

  • Organize your work on the basis of different spheres like home ,office , friends , kids ,etc.
  • Realize how important a task is to you. For instance the things which are keeping you worried and making you sleepless are the works which you need to take down first ,obviously taking in note the probability of its success, risks, benefits.
  • Consider how urgent it is to you .That is, if the time frame will affect its benefits and what will be the results if the tasks are delayed.
  • Now as you have organized the tasks , the next thing to keep in mind is how you pursue them. Here are some ways to how you can-
  • Schedule a specific time as to when you will do a task and stick to that time everyday until or unless your work is finished.
  • There is no time like ‘NOW’ so don’t delay or postpone any important work and keep it for later to finish.
  • Eliminate or postpone less or not important work for a quick win of your to do list.
  • Divide your work into small parts and conquer them as small steps.
  • Don’t forget to take a break and refresh your mind.

As you follow this few steps you can easily win your to – do list but don’t forget to update it with new tasks as you finish your previous ones .Always remember to invest your efforts where it is needed the most.
