Indian Railways latest news: While booking tickets from IRCTC, you would never have thought that earning can also be done with it. Railways gives such an opportunity. Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTC) recruits Rail Travel Service Agent (RTSA). These agents can book train tickets online in their city, in return for which they are paid an attractive commission. The way to apply for this is very easy. Just have to follow some steps.
Who is an RTSA Agent?
Some authorized agents of IRCTC are appointed in every city. These agents can book tickets online from their city by logging on to the IRCTC website. For this, they are given a separate ID. They are given commission in exchange for booking tickets. The license shall be valid for a period of three years from the date of its issue.
How much does it cost?
To become a Rail Travel Service Agent, you have to deposit only 20 thousand rupees in the first time. 10 rupees will be deposited as security in this. Which will be refundable. A demand draft of Rs 20,000 will have to be made in the name of IRCTC. 5000 will have to be paid every year as agent renewal.
What do I need to do to apply?
To become a Rail Travel Service Agent, one has to obtain a Class Personal Digital Certificate. This certificate will be available from any Indian Certifying Authority.
How much commission will you get?
IRCTC has fixed the commission rate of agents. Commission can be taken as a rail travel service agency. During ticket booking, you can charge a maximum of Rs 30 per ticket on slipper class ticket and Rs 60 per ticket on AC ticket from the customers. Which will be extra charged from the ticket price. Service tax will be separate in this.
How to apply to become an agent?
To become an authorized agent of Railways, you have to get an agreement made on a stamp paper of Rs 100.
A demand draft of Rs 20,000 will have to be prepared in the name of IRCTC.
A copy of the IRCTC registration form has to be filled and attached.
Class third personal digital certificate will also have to be taken.
The letter will also have to be taken from the concerned zonal railway.
PAN card, income tax return of previous years and address proof will have to be provided.
