Drishyam Victory was one of the biggest hits of Venkatesh’s career and now the sequel of the film is on the way. Titled Drishyam 2, the film is directed by Jeetu Joseph and jointly produced by D Suresh Babu, Antony Perumbavoor and Rajkumar Sethupathi.
The film has completed all the formalities including censorship and has got a clean U certificate. That is, the film is for people of all ages. Since Drishyam was a super hit, there are high hopes for the sequel. Makers will announce its release date soon.
Meena, Nadia, Naresh, Kritika, Esther Anil reprise their roles from the first part while Sampath Raj and Poorna are the new additions to the ensemble cast.
Produced under the banners of Suresh Productions, Ashirwad Cinemas and Rajkumar Theatres, Satish Kurup is the cinematographer and Anoop Rubens is the music director.
Set to be a drama thriller involving family sentiments, Venkatesh’s performance is going to be one of the major attractions.
‘Drishyam 2’ is a remake of Malayalam film ‘Drishyam 2’ (2021) and a sequel to ‘Drishyam’ (2014). Jeetu Joseph, who directed the original film, is also directing the remake. It is a suspense family thriller starring Venkatesh and Meena in lead roles. The film also stars Kritika, Esther Anil, Sampat Raj, Nadia, Naresh, Poorna and Vinay Varma in pivotal roles.
