Know when your car needs an oil change . Look for these signs…

A car’s engine oil helps the moving parts to stay lubricated and clean and in turn help the car to stay in good health and keep it running smoothly. A car’s oil should be changed routinely because over time , the oil burns off leaving behind sludge which causes the engine to wear.

And as the oil starts to burn off , your car will show at least one of these many warning signs .
1. when the oil starts to break off, the most obvious sign of it would be the oil change light blinking. In worst case scenario, the check engine light will start blinking this would mean that the car is now at a stake of damage due to burnt and un changed oil.

2 . The tailpipe will emit smoke instead of the vapor it always does to indicate defects in engine parts or oil leakage you need to check on the oil when the car show such signs.
3. If you travel more than you regularly do in a particular time span ,consider changing the oil sooner than you regularly do.
4. The oil will generally look hazel brown or light brown in color but if it looks dark or dirty that means it has started breaking down and hence need change.
5. As stated above, oil provides lubrication and decreases friction between the parts of the engine. So as the oil starts breaking down, the friction will increase and cause the parts to make noise . so if you are getting noises from engine , that is an indication of the oil break down.

When getting oil changes, checking the oil filters is also necessary. Take professional support if you find it difficult to check and change oil by yourself.
