Tata NANO EV: Tata Motors created a ruckus in the entire auto sector by launching the once-lakhkiya car Tata NANO. Then the company closed it due to low demand. Now Electra EV produced an electric variant of the same Nano car and Ratan Tata traveled on this car. Electric EV company has also shared a picture of this special occasion on LinkedIn. In this, Ratan Tata is seen present near the car.
Powertrain’s engineering potential shows
Let us tell you, the founder of the electric EV company is Ratan Tata himself. In a post shared by the company, it is written – This is a great opportunity for Team Electra EV, when our founder took a ride in a custom-built 72V Nano EV powered by the engineering capability of Electra EV’s powertrain.
Tata Motors leads in EV
People’s attention is also turning towards electric vehicles in India. At present, Tata Motors is the leading electric car manufacturer in the electric vehicle segment. The company has two Nexon EVs and Tigor EVs in the passenger vehicle segment. Electra EV, a pioneer in powertrain solutions for electric vehicles, has now developed an electric car based on the Tata Nano.
Petrol powered Nano
The Tata Nano EV seen in the images shared on LinkedIn looks exactly like the petrol-powered Nano. It is still a four door, four seater small hatchback. The car is powered by a super polymer lithium-ion battery. The Tata Nano EV is expected to have a driving range of 160 kms and can do 0-60 kmph in less than 10 seconds.
